San Pedro and Astrology Retreat
in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru

March 6th to 15th, 2021

Join myself and my good friend Bernhard Karshagen for a transformational 9-day retreat here in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru.

This profound journey
combines the sacred Andean medicine of San Pedro with the powerful wisdom of Astrology to create a space for personal evolution.

San Pedro

San Pedro
San Pedro (also named Wachuma) is a cactus that has been used as a sacred plant medicine for at least 3,000 years here in the Andes of Peru. It is a medicine that can be used to help us perceive our self-created barriers and limitations, and greatly aids us in opening and connecting with our hearts.

Each ceremony is a reunion with ourselves, Mother Nature and the Divine. It is a medicinal mirror that can help us see where we hold onto self-limiting beliefs and patterns in our lives, gently guiding us toward releasing that which no longer serves us.

San Pedro is often underestimated as a plant medicine, due to its gentleness. However, we have found San Pedro to be incredibly powerful and profound. In our opinion and based on our experience, there are few limits, if any, to its capacity to help us heal.

Bernhard has been working with San Pedro for 10 years, and has been running group ceremonies for the last 7 years. I have participated in numerous San Pedro ceremonies with him since 2012.

Its gentle yet powerful nature helped me to open to deeply buried feelings that even many years of ayahuasca ceremonies did not access, leading to a deeper connection with myself, others and with life itself. It helped me to get in touch with my heart’s true desire, leading me to move to Peru and begin creating my own retreats.

I can vouch for the fact that Bernhard is a truly gifted shaman, as well as one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Read others' reviews of his work here.

You can find below a beautiful 3-minute video showcasing San Pedro, Bernhard’s retreat centre, and the stunning region in which we both live:

Astrology
We will be using guests' personal astrology to inform the work with San Pedro, especially what is going on for you at the current time, to help you get the most out of the retreat.

Also, on most of the days that we will not be drinking San Pedro I will be holding Astrology workshops. The theme will be ‘The Outer Planets: Agents of Transformation”.

There are times when significant change is likely to come into your life. During this workshop you will learn how to recognize these periods and to gain a deeper understanding of the important lessons of personal transformation that life is asking you to undergo at such a time.

astrology

Armed with this knowledge, you will be better equipped to deal effectively with life’s key moments, enabling you to move in harmony with the flow of the Universe.

Discussions will include critical life periods such as the Saturn Returns (ages 29 and 58) and Uranus Opposition (age 42), which can be seen as initiations into a major new phase of life, as well as the often disruptive (and ultimately beneficial!) mid-life period from 36 to 45, when everybody experiences key transits of all four of the agents of transformation.

Despacho

Indigenous Culture of the Sacred Valley
As part of the retreat you will participate in a Despacho ceremony with a local elder. This is an ancient indigenous ritual of gratitude, offered to the spirits of the region in recognition of their guidance, support and assistance during your time in Peru.

You will also have the opportunity to receive a coca leaf reading from the same elder. This is an age-old form of divination here in the Andes.

And we will visit three sacred sites of importance to indigenous people during the retreat.
